Hang them up cut the tail off and bleed them good, dress, cool out, then cook them outside, like we do. LOL. WE never freeze fish.
The hook is hanging off the pine tree in the cool shade. Nearby stream bubbling away.

I prefer to not freeze fish, hence me keeping them alive. Frying outside is preferable.

Dirt trekker is back on his belly and using those gills. I'll keep him around until necessary.

Boy's 18 size is the biggest I've seen, that's about a size 28 in men's pants. Skinny neighbor's youngest just went from an 18 to a 30 size. Ollie's has Wrangler jeans for $9 but no dressing room. I used to get Wrangler Legendary Gold jeans, relaxed fit for older guys. Haven't found a replacement.
Debbie said she wanted a shower yesterday. I waited for when she was ready and did nothing all day. The shower didn't happen nor a nap. I went to bed at 9:30 and was awakened a lot. Gave up at 7:10 this morning.
Supposed to get rain from noon til 4 pm, come on.
Dave is burning 4 plies of leaves/limbs in his backyard. It's all dirt, no grass. We have a city code, outdoor fires can be in grills and fire pits only. I hate to report him. I can't talk to him, it's like I have no clue about what I'm talking about.
Need to shop before it rains.

Got a little rain last evening and this morning, my gauge says 4/10th but I think we got more than that.
Years ago, Zebra Mussels in the lower Ohio were thick enough that leaving your outboard down while anchored all night could result the water intakes getting clogged with them. Almost every Blue we put in the boat coughed some up. The last few years we kind of had to look for their beds to fish.
The land leasers are out and about in this area, our archery season starts Oct. 1st and have had three different guys stop by the house the last week or so wanting to know if I would lease hunting rights on my property. One from TN. one from Ga. and one from in state IL. Also got a phone call but he didn't advise where he was from.
Though Da Bears looked decent yesterday, of course they were playing a 0 and 2 team so may have looked different against a better team. KC finally broke the losing streak. Guess I will settle in and see what happens with the Lions Vs. Ravens tonight.

That's rough..can happen to anyone.
I was knocked cold by lightning when I was about 4. I was sitting on a team of horses holding a steel ring. The horses were tied to a tree, and my dad was hooking up another team of horses to a 4 horse disk. They said I was out cold for over two hours, and I had turned blue.

Rain off and on most of the day, speculators say more coming.
Finally got the wife's chicken coop and pen ready for chickens, went to the daughters and picked up 4 pullets and one young rooster. Guess we are in the chicken business.
My maternal G-dad got struck by lightning while plowing on an IH "H" tractor, he had just picked up the plow to make the turn. Lost feeling in an arm and leg, Dr. suspected if the plow had still been in the ground, it would have been fatal. When I was about 14 our preacher's son got struck, it was fatal and according to the preacher the exit (bottom of both feet) had massive exit wounds.
Wish the price of corn and beans was a bit higher but it looks like my corn is going to make a decent yield.
Went for a short UTV ride through some of our woods, saw several deer but all were skin heads.
Starting to rain again, guess I will shower and call it a day.
