My bride has been intently following a case of two young men who went into the woods of Colorado to bow hunt elk and didn't return. Turns out they found them both dead with no outward signs of trauma or injury. This is really weird.
Yes, I was following that too. Their bodies were found at the base of a tree. They've determined they were struck by lightening.

Some of our neighborhood squirrels felt the urge to chew our neutral electrical wire from the pole to our house in half a few years back. That little chewing episode blew out two computers, a TV, a printer, and several other electrical things. Everything in the house was going crazy. There is a squirrel nest in the ceiling of our front porch. I have tried to stop them, but so far no good.

Good check up at West clinic yesterday, up to 148.2 pounds. I wore the only pair of 32" jeans with the belt in the last hole. Lots of belt hanging out past the buckle. Jason stopped me at Aldi on the way home.
At the house Debbie and Jason were talking about the low water on the MS river. So he drove me to Bass Landing for a view. This is where Horn Lake creek meets the river. Saw 3 barges headed up stream. Water leavel still on the concrete ramp. I've seen 12 ft of gravel at the end in the past. One farmer was cutting beans, other fields had been cut. Cotton was starting to be gathered. At the gin there's a new structure for blowing lint trash farther away from the gin. Corn had been gathered, lots of cobs full of corn on the ground. Is gathering whole cobs something new? We picked up 4 shopping bags of cobs of corn to feed the animals at home. Can get more if they will eat it. Nothing left at the old Bass/Denton homestead.
Got a much needed rain about dark and into the night. Was to get more overnight and this morning but the cell went south. More rain supposed to be here this afternoon. 79 for the high. Some flooding reported.

Got 3 1/2" of rain in a 5 gallon bucket set out on the patio. Poured that water into flowerpots. Got more rain last night. Will check bucket soon. More rain now. More rain about dark.
Nothing has eaten the corn I shelled by the tree yet. Wonder if it's GMO? May take a few days for them to want it.
Stitched 2 jean pant legs last night for sandbags for the range. Will apply liquid stitch and another sewn stitch before adding sand. Double stitch and liquid stitch when sealing the bags. Going to make 4 or 6 total.
Washed 4 square 33 oz plastic nut jars and dried them for 410 brass storage with silica packs. About 130 casings per jar.
Waiting on a reply from an AL fellow about a medium flat rate box of 9mm casings. 3,000 @ .03 each. Waiting on a reply from a SC fellow about 40 lbs of lead. .75 per lb. Both need shipping rate of $21.05 added. Both boxed and ready for shipping. Waiting on check or money order.
Got cool during the night, had to add Debbie's throw to my blanket. Checked central air thermostat at 6 am. It was set for 58 degrees and the unit was off. Slept off and on until 8:30. I turned it up to 65 with fan on.

The internet cable buriers were here today. Now the hookup stuff needs to be done. Faster and should not shut off several times a month for days.

Was setting at drivway table. Had to go back inside before got carried away by biting midges. No see ums. Never had them this bad for years. You walk thru yard and up they swarm.

Got new govenor puton my 2n tractor. Thrn also put 3 point blade back on. Took 1/4 can bug spray.

They say it is fall. If so, why is ac still running at times? No rain till next weekend, maybe. Temps in high 70s and 80s.

Creeks drying up again so will have to hunt the deeper spots for bait.

Hopefully the midge bacteria isn't bad on the deer this year in your area.
