Missed yesterday to a busy day. First, the ordeal of a shower, Doctor visit with lab work for my pills. A drive to Senatobia for my auction buys, Got hoop cheese from Kaye's market. A stop at Kroger for clearance items. walmart trip for needed things for Debbie. Tractor Supply for flea collars, not paying $60 each, got a 3 pack of drops for $35. Cats aren't scratching as they were. Need first aid cream for Keke's neck. Both cats got lap time, not at the same time. Got chicken from Popeyes, 3 pieces for $5, not sides or biscuit, 1 only of each section. I got wing, leg and breast in 2 boxes. Instant mashed potatoes when I got home. Debbie won't eat dark meat so I had both legs and wings. Buy again today for lunch and dinner.
Jason called, asked for a walker if I have a spare. I'll carry it and a shower chair to him soon. Got small outboard motors hanging on 5 walkers with wheels, picked up over the years from people's trash piles. Weekend specials and double points at Kroger so a shopping/walking trip on the way home.
Grandson got an offer if he'll get truck driving training, he has a dump truck job waiting. He starts Monday at Delta Tech.

Ammo, if one doesn't line dry their clothes it's hard to explain but I just like the feel and smell of line dried clothes.
Same here. My bride just doesn't understand it. I always tell her I like my clothes baked, not broiled. Don't get me wrong, some of those dryer sheets do smell pretty good. But nothing beats just....air.

I get invited to those things. Never liked most of em i went to school with, why would i go visit with them now lol. Time does fly, 4 more years and it will be 20 years since i graduated. Thats scary to me!
Sorry to hear that. H.S. is one of my fondest memories, hated the academic part but loved the social part.

Did my Kroger shopping yesterday to catch the Saturday/Sunday deals. Checkout showed $120 before savings were applied, $78 after. Won't get that deal at walmart.
Searched for first aid cream at Kroger, walmart, found Lidocaine Wound Gel, water based at Walgreens. Got some spread on Keke's neck yesterday and this morning. Most liked it, I got hugs during lap time. The child proof cap needed help with pliers for me to remove it.
Got the cat and bleach rinsed from the trash container. Shovel it into a trash bag later and the wash the curb. Left the lid off so it could air.
Had a package due for delivery Friday and one Saturday. Neither showed up. One is stuck in USPS Memphis hub. Other still in transit between OR and here.
92 and humid today. Got to water garden, potted plants, flowerbeds and lawn. Very little water in rain buckets. Squash plants have melted away, cucumber plant aren't looking good.
Tried patio tomatoes with cottage cheese, thick skin, chewed the meat out and trashed the skin.
Watched 3 sketty westerns last night.

The forecast was dire!! 1 to 3" flooding and blaa blaaa blaaa. I got, Zero!! 100% chance of rain, duh. They were 100%. WRONG!! again.
Keef, we had a 10 percent chance of isolated showers this past evening and it rained from ten PM until this AM at five thirty.

Took a nap after lunch and yard work yesterday. Went to Happy Dayz for burgers. They have the new stinky buns now. Had just the burger with mustard and tomato. Debbie's needed a new piece of cheese. Yep, made with the new protein enriched flour that stinks and taste bad. Will try Lew's bread on next shopping trip
Watched 3 sketty westerns, lights out at 10 pm, slept pretty good until 7:10.
Dave was out early mowing his yard then blew the clipping into the street. Check soon if he blew my way. I'll blow them back with the water hose.
After mail person runs today I'll move the car so I can finish cleaning my curb.
Firing pins should get here today.

My observations:

I cleaned a Blue and a Channel the other day. The blue was much cleaner meat than the channel was. Both were about 5 #'s each. The Blue filleted out white whereas the Channel was very bloody. After soaking in cold water for two days the meat on the blue still looks better than the channel. In the future all I will keep if I want to eat catfish is blues and throw the channels back in. BTW...fish fry tonight!:)

Busy weekend. Friday spread 62 tons of gravel on the new drive and got the culvert installed at the entrance. Saturday attended a birthday party 2 hours away. Yesterday watched my son sing at church last time before heading back to college this coming weekend, cleaned up a big brush pile and log, mowed, sprayed, and finished folding laundry at 11pm. Needless to say the weekend flew by.

I agree on line dried clothes. I lived with my grandma for awhile in my teens and loved the smell of line dried clothes, unless the wind was out of the east. The clothes line was 100 feet west of the hog lot!

River_monster I know what you mean about time flying. In 2 years it will be 40 years since my graduation.

Clean up time

I won't eat a wild caught Channel, it is either blues or flatheads for me. Seeing what a channel will and have ate turned me off forever. There is a reason they are called pond possums. lol

I had planned to do some painting on our porch but they were saying rain so I just started cleaning the garage and my out back wood shop. It never rained.
