I moved a ladder stand about 10 yards this morning. It has bothered me since last hunting season. I had a corn spinner on a P/L and my stand was off to the side about 15 yards. I had green military camo around the railing and didnt get spotted there but just felt too close. Also, no cover around the tree at all. Ill probably get "blew" off the side of the P/L by the deer now that I moved the stand but it's about 25 yards back with plenty of natural cover around it now.

Next I loaded up a hog trap I had borrowed and took it home. Visited with him for awhile and got home to gas up the lawn mower and I got the grass cut.

Wow! Just remembered I havent eaten anything today but a sausage biscuit this morning. I'm getting tired and hungry. Ha!:p

They predicted bad dtorms past couple nights. They been off by 75 miles or so. In one way good. Got lawn mowed after sup. Finnaly dryed. Nice today, hot next couple.

Bet the barges are not getting stuck on Mississippi this year. Bet I could probly find the submerged sandbar in middle of it tho.

Had to make trip to other side of big city today. Couple fishing spots were packed.

Finished wiring the new lights, sprayer connection and 12v outlet on my tractor yesterday. Today finished cutting/welding/grinding on my sprayer to make it work with my quick hitch. Going to visit Mom in the nursing home tomorrow. Got a little rain today. My yard needed it, it’s turning brown in spots.

Bill, the Mississippi must not be very wide or deep up your way, in Memphis, it is a mile wide and fast as all get out. A person couldn't run as fast as it flows through Memphis. It is one bad river there, I will never get back on it. The one time I did fish it, it scared the devil out of me.
A buddy of mine was surveying and laying concrete mats in the river to keep the bank from washing out. They had a crane on a barge, the barge was cabled to a 4 foot thick oak tree and a D8 dozer with it's blade buried as deep as it would go. The river drug both the tree and dozer into the river there.

Carried Debbie to ER yesterday morning at 8:45, UTI, dizzy. They found her red blood count at 6.7, should never be below 12. Tried 19 times for an IV and blood test, kept blowing. Started a blood transfusion before I left at 10:30 pm. Should know something new about 10 am today.
Ad on craigslist some 10 years ago. Stihl 290 $200. I went to look, bought 3. Matt and mine still run good, Jason's needs to be shopped.
I've seen those river buoys disappear for 5 to 10 minutes at a time at Memphis. Big trees stand up and sucked down, float again a half mile down river.
