I've been messing with the aerator and filter/biosphere on my 160g tank. Grabbed some broken cinder block chunks from the creek I've been slowly cleaning out, and made up a waterfall with them in pots. Probably not enough surface area and existing biosphere to keep up with more than a couple dozen fish, but hopefully it helps for now. I've got 2 gills alive from 3 months ago. Been tossing in some fish food and left over worms/crawlers not fit for hook.

Well I messed up. I'm on the Spring River which flooded last spring. So far I have retrieved a trampoline and aluminum door frame. Scrap metal. Tin roof medal and a few campers up in the trees.
If I had brought a sidescan and battery there is no telling what I could find in the water. Wonder what the salvage rights are for sunken treasure?

Warm and humid. Step outside and sweat without working. Geuss I got fat over the years.

They keep promising rain. The 30 drops we got this morn didnt wet the grass seeding. Maybe tonight. 50 miles north, west, and east got a bunch.

Was doing some things with tractor yesterday. Moving brush pile some, trying to get some bushes outa lawn hump, then while blading driveway it died. 5 minutes would restart for 10 minites. Ordering new coil. May go to 12v coil and eliminate resister.

Want to go get chubs for next week as temps and humidity to be livable. Maybe Monday.

I just read something on the USCA sitte, and it goes like this.
''I met you at an Ice Bowl Tx years ago, but you You wouldn't remember me. I was just one of the many guys that got together to share the love we have for catfishing. Just know that many of those faceless guys always looked up to you for all you have done to educate us and to progrees catfishing into what it is now. Just know that you have always and will continue to hold my greatest respect!"

I left out the start of this conversation and here it is >>>Mac, Thank You for all the work you have done educating me on this forum. I know you have educated countless others when guiding on Lake Norman, and countless more thru all your work writing your "Catfish University" on this site. You will be sorely missed here.

Jason's MRI shows he has an infection on his spine. 80 days of IV infusions have started. His daily trip will be from Lake Forest South, Walls, MS to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Our plans for an October cabin at Enid Lake are out. 4th day at the hospital getting drug dose right. First time in for more than 12 hours, he hates it.
Got a 44 lb box of lead to the post office going to south MS. I was soaked by the time I got back home, 3 1/4 mile round trip. Waiting on check or money order for 2 more boxes.
Got 3 boxes of 3,000 9mm casings 500 per bag ready to ship, waiting on sell. 3 cents each, decapped, tumbled, not sized, inspected plus $21.05 for USPS flat rate. Dirty range pick decapped 2 cents each, 3,000 per box.
My tomato plants get a 5 gallon bucket of water every 3 days. If not the leaves start turning. Think the garden has to much compost.
August heat has me indoors more than I wish.

I agree, Mac you are truly one of a kind buddy, if anyone knows catfishing, it is you. You aren't going anywhere, are you?
I'm not going anywhere I know of, but I was touched via what he had to say about me and my history with catfishing and I wanted to share it with you guys.

Another busy weekend. Finished the new drive Friday. Moved son to college yesterday. Helped my neighbor plant a food plot this morning.

Not sure what the deal was last night but couldn’t sleep. Went to bed at 11:30, still wide awake at midnight so I got back up and was awake all night. Should sleep well tonight. Hopefully.
