Been a while since I have been on here. Went to Alaska for a week mid July. Came home found a $500 water bill and a leak. Found the wet spot in front of barn. Started digging and blew a line on the backhoe. Cooked breakfast and no hot water. Control was bad on the water heater. Got the backhoe fixed and found the water line. Unfortunately the leak was up stream. During all this temps way to hot outside. Wife tried to mow and mower quit. Kept digging finally found the leak in front of the house. Replaced whole water line.

Found out from electric company they would pay half for a heat pump water heater. So we ordered one, 10 days later it arrived. Ready to install and it was damaged. Ordered new one 9 day wait. Got it installed Wednesday.

Mower was shot, over 20 years old and no compression. Found a commercial 60 with kubota diesel at estate auction a mile from the house on Thursday.

Been a wild and expensive month.

Major cool down soon and will have to fish.

Good grief, bad things usually happen in threes, your bad luck must not have gotten the memo.

Alaska was great. Had 2 combo halibut/ salmon trips scheduled. 1st one was canceled due to bad weather. 2nd day was very rough. Got seasick. Dry heaves are rough. Did catch salmon and halibut that we brought home.

Saw moose, sheep, and a bear the last day. Alot of beautiful scenery. And it was cool every day.

I know at one time a person couldn't kill a Grizzly even if it was killing livestock. BUT They didn't say you couldn't make the Grizzly wish it were dead. lol That had to be some BAAAAAAD dogs to keep Grizzlys away.

Sunday, I went to Pirtle's for a liver dinner for me and a tender dinner for Debbie. Out of tenders so I didn't get livers. A stop at Popeyes for tender dinners, Only taking mobile orders inside and a mile long line outside. New place in town Cane's. Didn't want seasoned fries with a dinner. Got 6 tenders alone, $2 each. They want 79 cents per dipping sauce, no way.
Monday Kayla drove her car to the doctor and filled with gas. Got a call, 3 miles away and it's not running good. So the only trip away from home I made. Acts like it not getting fuel. Might be fuel filter clogged, it's in the tank. Got it home and in the driveway.
This morning I left early. At Tractor Supply when they opened the door for flea pills. Kroger for a watermelon. Bank to deposit a check. Scrapyard for 102 lbs of pure Xray wall lead sheets. Chick fily for biscuit breakfast sammiches.
Jason has spent 5 days in the hospital and hates it. He'll spend a total of 14 days there getting the IV drugs right. Finish the 80 days in OP. Yesterday they were going to do something. I want a shower first, we can bathe you, No a shower. He got a shower. He asked for water and got ice instead. The aide almost got hit with the container and ice was in the hall. He found the 1935 production of Werewolf in London and watched it. I tried on Utube, have to pay for it.

Michigan decided we needed wolves back in the upper peninsula. Whitehall populations are down, illegal to kill the wolves.

Heard a guy had 5 of his hunting dogs killed. Stopped on side of the road to let them run. Little by little each one Stopped barking; each skull crushed.

Another couple guys accidentally trapped one so called the DNR. Took 2 of them and a sheet of 3/4" ply to spring it free. Don't call us again, they said...

A little research unto how "farmed shrimp" is raised will turn anyone off of it.
