Naw they will spoil. How many you have? If is enough to fill freezer gallon bags fill up with shad,fill with tap water,add half a cup of natural sea salt and freeze. Take out on wednesday put um in a 5 gallon bucket for a couple of hours and then fridge um till thursday. Salt preservs the slime coat on the shad and in my experiance keeps um better. Passed down from my cattfish killing grandpa. Works like you just caught um fresh. I keep shad year round this way de-thaw them the night before fishin and We got cut bait that works like a charm. Just an Fyi I use local water caught shad from where ever i fish. They seem to be used to the taste. Good luck and catxh a biggin.
