Not too awful busy last night......slowing down after a week or so of projects.
Finally bought the part for the stove, has been acting up for 6 months or so, oven sometimes doesn't light. Can't get the kids to understand to turn it back off when it didn't light. Guess it isn't their house that will be destroyed when they blow the place up. They like to eat and absolutely CANNOT suffer any inconveniences.:roll_eyes: Of course should have been a simple job replacing the ignitor but what is ever simple???? Two screws to remove and both were galled up due to the heat I guess, both broke off while loosening.:angry: Ended up with the air hose and a cut-off wheel inside the oven, then a grinder, then popped out what was left. Replaced the part and it now works like a champ. The house is saved from the childrens absolute need to ignore our instruction and advice...... CLOSE CALL.
Eyeballed my rock a bit more and ended up prying the beast over about 3 inches on the piers. Better.....Perfect. Now waiting on the builder to pay me a visit and get this going. Still kind of want to do it myself but wife wants it done. (Me too).
Boss says i have to get to work...... later ramblers!:smile2:

Alls well that ends well Skip. Mine has been the microwave. Once, I had one of the kiddos come to me and in the calmest most nonchalant voice say, "Dad... the microwave is on fire." Tends to happen when you nuke a weenie for 10 minutes I guess. Ramen noodle without water in the bowl will smolder pretty good too... I tell you what.

Gotta go pick my other propp friday....got it repressed for 30 bucks bought that new one fer a hundred so I will have two.....gettin ready to tear into the other motor I have its a old shear pin & I have 3 or 4 propps fer it.....I have some places Id like to run but there is some real shallow places and you might tear something up .

When I was bout 8 or nine my uncle had bout 40 barrels in his basement & one hell of a rack...back then some of that whine was as old as me bout 10 yrs ago he got thirsty and decided hes glad he only made 40 and a rack one more bottle would of killed him...Good Whine is hard to come by but if it is good whine you'll know:cool2:

Congratulations on the 45 #er, thanks for kicking my butt right from the start. Hopefully I will get out of this slump I've been in lately. Its not that I come home empty handed. I just can't reel in anything worth bragging about. It might only take 3# to qualify, but 3# looks like bait next to them +40 #ers. :tounge_out:

Saw the comments regards mental health, and who wants to defeat the purpose of this thread? That's the whole point. It's the substitute for painting a face on a soccer ball and calling it "Wilson", or talking too much to yer dog.
Postbeetle, time to fry something in lard, and wash it down with 10 or 12 adult beverages. My wife never goes anywhere. Every day I go running to the hall, and she's still here......
I love the scouts, long as there is someone else being the master. Smiling lil faces that haven't succombed to the evils of adulthood. What's not to admire.
I have a miserable fishing report for the year. It is absolutely the worst year I've had fishing in the last decade. Don't know why. May have to go back to school. It's like someone laid some bad Karma on me. I need a mojo hand. Someone light some incense for me.

I got a new shiney but I am scratching my head fer what fish.....there has been a mistake I think....one of our leaders is being over worked today like I am gonna be...thats what I get for fishing so much I caught several in the 10-15s this yr and a couple heavey weights ....wow not a bad yr my freezor is full them two big cats are gettin bigger fer me next yr:wink: Gotta run you all!

These guys do work cheep but the results vary.

oooh::crazy:Just found out today through casual conversation with the Boss that I have a school scheduled in Oklahoma City in 3 weeks!
oooh: He says he thought he told me, then that he got an email and I should have also. NOPE on both accounts!
Got the deck project ready to go waiting on the builder to come by, don't know if he will get to it before I leave, don't want it built without me here to answer questions if they have any.:crazy: Might have to put it off until November!:angry:
Have to study up and finish OJT, then Certification Exam on the Radar System before I leave, on top of all of my regular maintenance duties.
To top it off my wife will be out of town on business for a week, the same day that I depart for three weeks! Now have to find a responsible person to watch the stepmonsters....errrr kids.
Guess Skippy's projects will slow down as i am now bringing my study material home with me to get the certification done.
So.....still busy, just no fun to be had.:sad2:

Just a note from opj about the economy.
Like I said before I ain't the sharpest tack on the block but I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a "We Deserve It Dividend".
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S.
Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every
man, woman and child.
So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a "We
Deserve It Dividend".
Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay
$127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that
every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife team has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads Put away money for college - it'll be there. Save in a bank - create money to loan to
entrepreneurs. Buy a new car - create jobs. Invest in the market -
capital drives growth. Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health
care improves. Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else.
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who
lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is
cutting back. And, of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If
we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of
trickling out a puny $1000.00 ('vote buy') economic incentive that is

do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go
back to being American General.

POJ,Thats the smartest,simplest plan I've heard yet. And it makes sense too. We know it'll never fly tho,cause the boys in washington just would'nt have us common folks maybe getting a hand UP . Man I'm tired with a capitol T ,Got up at 3;30 am and was at work before 5;30,went on a wild goose chase to deliver 27 yds of ORDERED concrete,then we only used15,plus we drove a round trip of 138 miles,I was bushed by the time we got back,then had to deliver more elsewhere,But its all good now,Got COLD BREW and BOC. IF I stay awake long enough to enjoy both :wink:

OPJ, I like yer idea, but it would flat be a pain to have to pay 425$ a gallon for gas, and 250$ for a gallon of milk.....there has to be a separation of the elite from the delete or it just wouldn't be the USA.
It would up the dues on the country club to bout half a million a year too, just to keep the "riftraft" out.
