Bats were on charger for day and half. Put muffs on and boat fired right up. Everything eise ready like poles, bait, snacks, etc. Grab cooler at 4:30, go to Carls, head to lake for eyes and pearch. Should be on water before sunrise.

Heard the lake was packed yesterday. But still hitting great.

Now we talking of going for flats about Thursday.

Ma sending tomatos and getting potatos in return.

Couple years ago up at Drayton, ND was told by the king were to fish. Killed them that morn. Not really just catch and release. But then it also helped he told me of bait shop that just got big suckers in.

He said he used 5 ott hooks. I cut the heads in half length way put that on 8ott and caught the biggest ones. Would get 3 or 4 off each head half. 2 foot from shore.

Ammo, I understand the guide being a bit aggravated but not mad, it's just part of doing his business, like truckers getting traffic citations and farmers getting shed antlers through a $1,000 tractor tire. It's gonna happen, be aggravated about it but just carry on.
He was actually pretty mad. But I think you're right...gotta consider it just part of the business. I mean heck...if you're seen in the same spot on the lake nearly every day of the week, somebody's bound to see it and go there too. I'm still gonna go back there...I'll just leave when if I see him coming.

I would not leave the hole if I was you, it's public waters and I look at it as, first come, first served, IJS.
I guided for over thirty years and would never do that to another fisherman. Before I was a guide, I was just a fisherman, just like you, and was on a school of striper's when a guide came in and told me to move because he had a party and they needed for me to m0ve. I didn't move and he kept getting closer to me and I told him to halt or there was going to be trouble. He put some bad words on me but finally moved on.

Back in the day my grandfather and uncle (young at the time) were fishing trout on Hramp's favorite river. A boat floated down and got close. Then closer. My grandfather hooked up on a good fish and pulled anchor to fight it down river. He came back up and around the bend to see the boat in his spot. Gramps told the guy to get out of his spot as he wasn't done fishing. The guy moves out.

Same deal happens again. As they make the bend, the boat is in "his" spot. Gramps gets close to the spot heading fast, then heads up front and tells his son to take the tiller. As uncle grabs the tiller and looks back forward, they make impact while gramps is jumping onto the other fisherman. Gramps was a big dude and had a temper. That incident was left on the river in those days. Today, there'd likely be other problems.

Regardless, fishing etiquette needs to be learned, and we do need to pay attention to fishing techniques and just plain common sense.

Early this morn a good freind took me to his location. My boat and bait. 6 walleye of good eating size and 2 eating pearch. Bunch of white bass that went back. 4 hours.

A couple boats were spotlocked and nailing pearch. We trooled. Started getting real warm so put in.

Speaking of warm. New record today of 92. At least dew point was in 40s.

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. Catfish on a feeding frenzy, deer season and less bugs. Love me some fall...but dang if I don't hate the spider webs! They are everywhere and tangling up all over me. I be a hating it!
Wear your welding out fit, then. you would not notice them!! LOL.

Got to Kroger early and the girl had my boosters ready. Spent about 5 minutes in the store. Searched other stores for corncob pet bedding and media. Guess an online order is in the making. Since no one uses dryer sheet I bought a pack at Dollar Tree. I've never used new ones before.
Dave had piles of leaves and limbs burning this morning. Thought that maybe code enforcement would come by early and see the smoke.
All the sandbags are on the grill letting the sun cure the liquid stitch. Finished removing the clumping cat litter from 9mm casings. Will tumble in walnut media to remove dust.
Last day of September, head to Kroger for 35 gallons of gas @ $1 off. Got another 40 cents off if I wish. Got 90 cents off for September. Think I'll wait.
Debbie wants scrambled eggs for breakfast, better get to moving.
