The cats got a large coffee can of the spent corncob clumping cat litter I tried as brass media. Got a can of new clumping clay litter too. Some of that litter is 8 years old, just add to it, never changed it. Removed 2 pee balls and 2 poop piles this morning.
Friday shopping day, Kroger, Aldi, SuperLo, Dollar Tree, Sportsman's Warehouse, Tractor Supply, try another hardware store for set screws. Some talk on MSGO that TS is carrying ammo. Need some 2 gallon icing buckets for brass and 410 hull storage. Try another pet store for corncob bedding. Get another bag of Zilla desert blend walnut shell bedding.
Yesterday morning Debbie came to be at 4:40 and wouldn't shut up. I was wide awake at 4:50. Took 3 naps during the day. Hope I can do better today.
I hear thunder.

Here's my 2 tank setup that I am aerating with the 1 water pump. I'm drawing water with the pump from the steel tank. Dumping it into the waterfall above the black rubber tank. The water then syphons back into the steel tank through that Grey pipe. It's working for now. Not sure if it would keep these larger fish alive long term, but they'll be cleaned later today.

Most know these cats are hardy fish. 1 was belly up when I got home, so I flushed water with the garden hose through his mouth to help get oxygen to his gills. He's doing much better now.

Internet trouble. Will soon have a better provider. One with real folks. Also a service that is down for a day or 2 every other week. They also demand you pay for for no service, kinda like cable tv.

Our 2 cats just showed up. One 14 years ago. Other 4 years ago.

Neighbor got 2 deer out west this week. Cross bow.

We were suposed to get a couple inches rain. Got maybe a tenth. Mobridge got over 6 and just south of Pierre is flooding. Since Aberdeen had some James flooding this week river here will be high next week. Need to get more chubs for flats.

My bride has been intently following a case of two young men who went into the woods of Colorado to bow hunt elk and didn't return. Turns out they found them both dead with no outward signs of trauma or injury. This is really weird.
Yeah they been looking for those two for awhile now

Yesterday I picked up 2 pickup loads of gravel and hand shoveled it on the driveway, about 1 3/4 tons. Pulled the batteries out of the boat, cinched down the cover and parked it under the overhang for the winter. Ran sprinkler to water the seed and straw above the cliff, takes 350 feet of hose to reach it. They’re saying we could get 3 inches of rain over the next week. I’ll believe it when I see it but will be doing a happy dance if we do.

Right now I’m in town selling tickets for a fundraiser then when I get home I’m loading the tractor and brush hog and heading to my property. It will take longer to load and unload than it will to mow, not even counting the hour and a half drive time round trip.

Before heading to town I treated the boards I installed on my trailer earlier this year with used motor oil.

Didn't get all I went shopping for yesterday. Will go to other stores today. Debbie has 3 to 4 Claussen mini pickles per day, a jar doesn't last long. Not all stores carry them.
Still can't locate my old work clothes, wonder if they got thrown away for more closet space.
I tried on a pair of 30" pants, fit waist fine but tight on the hip bones. 32's were loose, couldn't find a 31, guess I'll be wearing sweatpants a bit longer.
Cool cell coming through, high of 89 today. May rake and vac leaves. Need them to cover kitchen scraps in the compost bin.
Patch is liking to sit on top of Debbie's recliner. After Debbie gets relaxed in it Patch wants to put her butt on Debbie's head.
Guess I'll have to get that No Pest animal spray so Keke won't poop and pee in the bathtub.

I moved over the winter. I now have a nice trout stream behind my house. I originally was thinking of how to incorporate a pond, or even live well for bait and my fish catches. However, this stream, near I can tell, does not have 2 invasive mussels in it, but that are often found in the rivers I fish.

It's not worth it. A once nice shoreline I fished with my grandfather has so many Zebra Mussel shells stacked up that it almost feels like walking through a foot of dense snow. You can't see the shoreline they are so thick.

I see evidence of freshwater clams in my stream as well. Zebra mussels certainly would change that dynamic.

Update on this system. I actually didn't end up cleaning all three fish. They've been doing fine in the steel tank. However, I pulled the steel tank and used it when I went fishing. I put the cat's in the black tank.

Overnight, we had nasty rain, thunder, wind and lightning at home. Thankfully we missed most of the nasty while out fishing. However, I got back home and found 2 of the fish had jumped out. No idea why being I wasn't around. Anyways, 1 that was out survived his dirt trekking experience but the other died. That one's cleaned and dirt trekker is next being he's not doing so well.
