Was setting at table today we have in driveway. In shade of course. Flys were sometimes landing. While swating a couple got to wondering. Do insects feel pain if they are only injurd and not killed instantly. Then wondered do worms feel pain when hook is pushed thru them. Guess I will never know for sure. Maybe I could get a government grant to study it.

Was kinda cool thus morn. Upper 50s. Used hedge trimer and cut the marianna growing behind shop. Then seeded the stump areas we put black dirt on. Was supposed to rain about 6pm. Ya, right.

Bald? Free hair, let me sign up of close. I started going bald when I was 13. No or very little hair on the top since 18. There were 5 of us seniors in high school that way.
Watched a high school band from Japan on Utube. They didn't march much but gave a great show. Lot of American songs played.
Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band / Kansai Rose EXPO 2025(On May 25, 2025)

Got 40 pounds of pure lead sold @ 75 cents per lb plus $21.05 medium flat rate postage. Got very little left for myself. Offering wheel weight ingots the same way. Got weight lift limit changed to 25 lbs on last doctor's visit. I'll press my luck with 40 lbs using Debbie's wheeled walker.
Got a touch of rain yesterday, turned the grill lid black for about 20 minutes then the sun was back out. Heard that parts of Whitehaven and Southaven got flooded. I could use a good rain. Garden and potted plants don't like hosed water.
I planted Black Krim, Mortgage Lifter and a salad tomato plants this year. None are what they are suppose to be. All the skins are thick too. Think I'll plant field corn only next year.
Got a bill from Baptist Hospital Group, owe them $32.78. Went to office to pay, owe them $177.58. They got $80 this month. Get the rest next month. Asked about bills going to another address, didn't get a clear answer. Not her department.

Bald? It is weird, at almost 82, I still have my hair, and it has only turned white a little at my ears, must be good fertilizer. lol

Sun shining bright today, high of 88, but say could be scattered thunder showers here in Southeastern Tennessee.

I've started seeds in the past from stores and catalogs. Might get what's suppose to be every few years. I had 4 rows of 25 plants. 20 of 5 different tomatoes. Brandywine and German Johnson were the only true ones I got. Sold a lot of them at the auction house, 6 tomatoes for $5. After trying a Super Boy I pulled the vines. They are a hard tomato.
Got a guy named Baker that sell produce. Says it's home grown. Always has new boxes they sit in. Need to go by his house and see his garden. Always lots of watermelons in gayload boxes too.
Got parts in the mail yesterday, need to install them today.
Went to 4 Dollar Trees yesterday looking for Sprecher root beer. First 2 didn't have any. 3rd store had a shelf full, sign at door said cash only. 4th store had a shelf full of loose bottles and 2 full unopened cases. I got the cases.
Jason went for an MRI on his back. He has an infection and in the hospital now waiting on doctors to treat it.

I've noticed over the past few years that vehicle commercials on TV don't post the total price of the vehicle anymore. It's always the "awesome" monthly payment instead. I guess they don't want to scare anybody any more than they have to.
They really just want that financing money in their sale as well. I'm surprised they even accept cash still, lol.

When I went in to order an HD work truck, they didn't care I wanted to pay cash. They said they'd give me a discount if I financed with them with at least $10k, and a minimum of (if remember correctly) three payments. Did the three, and paid it off.

Shenanigans.

Another hot day in south, central IL., weather speculator not offering much hope of relief over the next several days.
Wife's dog was diagnosed with Addisons disease, so he has to have a shot once per month to replace whatever it keeps his body from producing naturally. We made the trip to the next county to the west and got his shot today. Sixty-mile round trip but we stopped by the In-laws on the way home for a visit.
We have lots and lots of tomatoes, but they are about 1/3 to 1/2 the size we usually grow using the same varieties, and we best pick them as soon as they ripen or they will start rotting. Our neighbors are reporting smaller than normal size crop or a total failure too. Not sure why but do know it not from lack of rain.
New vehicle prices, Lord Have Mercy! We built a 1700 sq. ft. house will full basement in 1990, total cost after paying contractor, installing septic, and having a transformer pole set was less than a moderately equipped 4WD, 1/2 ton truck today. Guess that is why I am still driving a 98 Chevy Z71 and will be as long as I am confident it will get my big lazy butt from point A to point B. Just going by what my dealer told me on zero % financing, they (the financing Co.) are banking on the buyer missing or being late on just one payment then according to the fine print the buyer will be responsible for interest on the full purchase price from date of purchase.

Another good reason to make sure that fine print also says "no early-payoff penalty".
