Howdy again, GOOBERS. Yep Fu - I said it again. :tongue1:
Ended up with the sloppy joes tonight and man they were good! Bo and Bub approved fer sure. Mandy's slinging Krystals right now.
Bo and Bub will have some fencing work to do this weekend. We got a deal on some panels and they're going to do some patching and replacing.
The old fart and I have been discussing a small garden in the back yard for next year. A few limbs have been cut down, some by Bo and some by Mother Nature. It looks like it might have enough sun now to do what we want. Planning on a few tomato plants, a couple of peppers, some beans, and cukes. Maybe even a zuke or two. We're going to run the cukes and beans on pig panels. That's what Jim's catfish cage is made from...so it can hold hawgs! LOL! Keep 'em up offin the ground and make life a little easier. Most of the neighborhood cats have gone to the great litterbox in the sky. Don't think Tim had anything to do with it, though.
Y'all have a good 'un. I'm gonna pop a top and kick back for a while.

Yeah Jim, I'll check it out. MapQuest said it would take me 6 hrs and 8 minutes to get to Pickwick.
Yeah Google Earth is amazing. I done clumb a big oak tree in Google Earth a lookin over our garage at the mountains.

Wel, not sure if I'm gonna go blind or not now. Its a toss up. Festus I wish ya would have warned me about that picture. I cancelled a fishin trip due to the eye, but that pic might just make me go blind in BOTH eyes. That image is seared into my brain like one of them examples the politicians use. It may be the last thing I ever able to recall. Imagine the horror!
I need to go catch some bait for the trip in Oct, but although I got time tomorrow, I reckon I'll wait till things get a little more settled. Still got some swelling but its getting better. I can tell by how well I could see before I looked at THAT PICTURE. May not be able to participate in taco and wenie night now. Tomorrow gonna be boring too. Can't do much, wish I'd planned vacation better, but I was just fitting things in as I could. In 2 weeks I got another appt. hope I don't forget to check out all the bionic features then.

Speakin' of Chevrolets, I saw a cool one recently. Upon looking it up, it seemed to be a '69. I only got to see the back end though, and the two fellers gettin' into it. I imagined that one was the original owner, and one was his son. The car was that blue, that blue from the Chevys of the sixties......but HIS wasn't like the car my parents had, even though they WERE the same color. It's kinda that misty blue, the blue about dawn, or before sunset when you can JUST see it.
In '69 I was six......LOL. But, as I've said previously, I don't think either of the folks get their just desserts when doing that.

Well she passed away last Wednesday night..
She had been sick for the last year or so.

Update: Sorry for your loss OPJ, I'll be thinking about you and your family.

I think that quite a while ago, KM asked me a question about killing babies. When he DID that, I asked myself a question, "Why would anyone kill babies"?
Tried to put myself in the other man's shoes, the military, etc. Tried to imagine that the media was the same THEN as it is NOW.........
I cannot say I researched the Bible for the solution, because I knew, and know, that it says "thou shalt not kill". If God designated only HUMANS for that - well, we'd prob'ly ALL be in trouble. And since the Bible also says that human beings (HIS creation, among others) need to eat, and supposedly the fish, fowl, and other sorts of protein are A-okie-dokie........
Me. NOPE. Luckily I have never been faced with an abortion issue. I wouldn't do it myself, but could I condone it? If I can, does it make me wishy-washy?
I don't think so. Every single day we see children brought into this world who would've been better off not born. Every single day we see folks arguing over how they'll be taken care of. Every single day we see them cast by the wayside, into oblivion. YES, some find their ways on to better things, but the majority do not.

At dark two thirty we had some showers to pass over, but it looks like we might get some more wet stuff. My trip for a party of four scheduled for this morning was canceled last night. Was expecting it ! Three nice ones that never saw my thin wallet.

Up around four.....showered......out on the deck smoking and {waiting on the coffee maker}.......
Watching the waves roll in reminds me of a giant etch a sketch.......a clean slate everyday......Some people call this place a tourist trap......Don't know about trapping per say.....They have the formula for getting the maximum amount of money in the shortest time and moving you on to get the next one in.........A couple of days here is plenty for me...
Hope everyone is doing as well as expected.........Hoping to get this crowd moving early as possible......figure the roads will be packed getting out of here.......seems a lot of these places run Sat. to Sat......
Did take the baby grandson to the Bass Pro shop here. Found me a couple of those sabiki rods.....They will be riding home with me......
