Just curious if anyone has tried the Alabama rig to catch skipjack? That should be a whole lot of fun if it worked
We were down on lake Guntersville and some guys came close to our boat, didn't pay much attention to them.I heard a big splash next to our boat sounded like a fish jumping,it was one of thoes rigs.About The Alabama Rig Here is the bass Alabama Rig.
Tried one with smaller wire a couple weeks ago. no luck!! we were catching skips on sabiki rigs but no takers on ab rig Even tied one on the bottom of a sabiki rig 1 skip in about 15 min. We riged it several different ways. Good luck!!Going have to order a couple of them badboys and try them out in my parts on some Skips, looks like it work. Thanks for the heads up on that one.
Huh, so that's what it is. I just figured it was some sortta bondage thing designed to be used by siblings. Considering where it's from:eek1:About The Alabama Rig Here is the bass Alabama Rig.
Man that's one good looking rig you made.I make them out of .026 and .031 SS wire and they do well on crappie and white perch. I make them 1/4 oz abd 3/8 oz. Most bass rigs are made fro .045 or bigger. View attachment 171325
Thanks for posting. I expected the lighter wire to work well.I make them out of .026 and .031 SS wire and they do well on crappie and white perch. I make them 1/4 oz abd 3/8 oz. Most bass rigs are made fro .045 or bigger. View attachment 171325
