I own a few Abu 6500 6600s

today i was cleaning oiling all of them ... had no issue til i did my 6600c4 RH

put it all back together and it didnt reel freely

there is a little bit of vibration that seems to be coming from the left side of the reel

took it apart once again and same thing...

just harder to reel than my others

When in free spool its perfectly smooth when casted...but when i reel it in there is a little resistance

any ideas where i should start?

Well,
I don't know how far you took them down,, but, I'd check the tension cap under the star drag and make sure it's properly set.

If you disassembled the right side completely, then maybe check the main and pinion gear for a piece of dirt or trash ,,
double check the pinion gear carrier,, that it's correct.

Clicker assembly, complete and correct...

Brake system,,,,,

just shooting in the dark,, here,

you came to the right place for help. if snagged doesn't know how to fix it, you might as well through it away.

ok so after messing with this thing a few times i have another question

i do not know technical terms so bare with me

i am asking if the center gold piece that holds the metal bar that is threw the spool is that gold piece suppose to be able to move somewhat freely

it would be the center part on the side with the reel

yes nick the rod or axle should spin freely in the bushing. put a lil oil on it and see if that helps i always convert mine to the 4x10x10 bearings you can find then on ebay pretty cheap and it,s the only side that needs converted . it,ll cast better and reel in better after that also the bearings are usually under 5 bucks not counting shipping. hope this helps

ok thanks alot

still having the vibration problem i feel like its coming from that piece or the larger gear the spins it when you reel the handle

It kinda sounds like the main gear and pinion might be damaged,, hammered.. that can happen if the reel is subjected to a Hard pull, like trying violently to unsnag a hook, etc

you can exchange them from one reel to another as a test to determine if it's those pieces.. and if you find that's the case.. then replace both pieces..

the larger brass gear is the main gear, the smaller is called the pinion.
