This weekend is the special youth hunt here in Arkansas. We had 4 kids hunt'n this morning. This is a neibor and good friend with his grandson and his first deer. They were in a pop up blind behind my house when this one walked up, he dropped him in his tracks with a 20 ga. shotgun. Don't know who was more excited, the boy, grandpaw or me.

This is the 12 year old girl of another friend. She was hunt'n this afternoon and took this buck at 20 yards with a Marlin 357 Mag. got the heart and part of both lungs, best blood trail I've ever seen for about 50 yards, then there was the deer. He first. Her sister got her fist deer here last year.

The other two are head'n back to the stands in the morning. Maybe one of them will see this guy, he's new here, just showed up night before last.

My hats off to you Sam, Thanks for letting the kids hunt on your land. Best thing you can do for kids is to get them involved in the outdoors.

nuthin better than to introduce kids to the outdoors...
