What odds and ends do you throw in your boat other than the standard gear when you go out. Anyone have any weird or usefull items to share?

I have an old 48 qt cooler that I use for dry storage that has

    a lantern style flashlight
    rain gear x2
    spot light
hand warmers (left overs from winter fishing)
    bungees
    first aid kit
    flare gun
    handheld flares and smoke

I also have a smaller box. It's similar to an ammo box only plastic. In it I keep

    tool kit
    boat plug
    wire
    wiring terminals and connectors
    wire strippers/crimpers
    boat plug
    lighter
    map of the lake
    boat plug
    cell phone
    hand sanitizer
    sun screen
    and an extra boat plug

I also keep an boat plug on the hook of each of the transom straps on the boat too. It's one of those deals where you said, "I'll never make *that* mistake again"

Down here in Texas, you don't leave the house without skeeter spray.

If you do much night fishing on any large lakes then a small battery powered gps sure comes in handy. A lake sure looks diffrent at night when trying to find that boat ramp.
