We stay home every year and avoid the drunks and crazies on the road. Deanna always fixes up a TON of snacks and Hors Duevres (spelling optional). Us and the kids gorge ourselves all night long and toot some horns at midnight! LOL

Pretty tame huh? But a lot of fun. Family tradition.

Restruants all open in our underground concorse, big fireworks fanale. It happens from 6:00 pm to Midnight. Something like 20,000 last year. 6 hours downtown and you still cant see it all.

My Wife's Sister lost her husband a few years ago in a car wreck. She comes over with her 7 yo for an "Ugly Pajama" Party :smile2:

Wife and her make up a bunch of food, we rent a bunch of movies, play board games etc. Later at nite, we all change into the most ugliest PJ's we could find and laugh at each other and take blackmail pictures :embarassed: .. Kinda tame, but fun and alot safer than going out.

well,i have never did anything other than sleep in the new year,,,this time will be a lil different......im going to go fish ft loudon lake, putting in at ish creek and start off by trolling flies with a bobber about 2 ft up and line bout 30' out with a planer board,..always manage to catch a few crappie and skipjacks in just a lil bit ,
then im moving onward(3.5 mi) downstream to parks bend and drop the downrigger with skips and put out a 3 way rig and drift the hard flat rock bottom of the bend a few times .usually catch em there ....and depending on success or not ,i will move on down stream (3.5 mi) to unitai and downrig and using bottom bouncers and drift the mouth of the cove where it drops into the main channel, using my newly caught skips for bait.....and if the day is good and the bite is hot and the weather foregiving i will pull up in unitia cove ,catch a few blue gills and spend the night fishin for flatties on a carolina rig......made up my mind ...i decided sittin on the couch thinkin bout fishin just doesnt get the hook wet or the boat motor warm...hope i can get my new 997 c si humminbird installed before i go,it was just delivered today

We plan to live up the New Year with our regular wild party. Ring it in with a glass of Caffeine Free Diet Coke. Then black eyed peas on New Years day.
Keith, that is great, hang in there!

    New Years Resolutions?

    1. Be a better husband to my wife. (I think I'm pretty good but I know I could be better. I absolutely love that woman!!!!)

    2. Loose weight to below 200lbs. (Lost 30lbs last year and need to loose about 10 more)

    3. Fish a lot more than I did last year. (I was on a project and only managed three or four trips all year and for those of you that know me, that's like I didn't fish at all)

    4. Attend at least two BOC gatherings.

    5. Write a song. (Thats right, I want to write a song. I love music and playing my guitar)

    6. Improve my guitar skills. (My skills are not advanced only very basic)

    7. Meet as many of my BOC family as I can.

    8. Make at least one trip to catch bait with my Arkansas BOC brothers at the hot water outlet.

    9. Last but not least, attend the 2008 BOC National Gathering.
