I like Berkley Big Game (Solar) and Suffix (Tangerine). The colors help us almost blind people to see. The size is determined by the fish I'm targeting.

I bought 3 abu 6500C this winter and put 65# power pro on them. Have some 40# Big game on some other stuff. I run P-Line on all my bass fishing tackle. Last year at the gathering i used Roberts tackle and he was running spider wire on all his abus, they cast like shooting a bullet. I would be afraid to guess which is best.

Sufix mono and Sufix braid. After trying just about every brand of fishing line tough the years. I must say Sufix is really nice to work with. I use it on everything from crappie to cats.

I just switched to braid from mono and love it! It is alot more sensitive and abrasion resistant than mono.

I use 30# Berkley big game mono, never had a problem and it seems to hold up really well. I use the 40# on my leaders. Easy to find at any Wal-Mart also in case you need it. Chris

I guess I am cheap. I try to stay with a good brand. But have no favorit. Just use what I can get the best deal on.

40# Big Game. Readily available, reasonably priced, and hard to break. I have been using it for 20 years or more. Tried a few others but always come back to old reliable.

I like 40# big game but it has sooooooooooo much stretch. You don't realize how much until you fish with braid and then switch back. When you set the hook with braid he's there no stretch I Love It.
