I recently put some cash on my debit card for a new fishing combo for bigger cats. I would like a bait clicker and be able to use at least 60 lb. test. Iv'e been looking but haven't found much...I am able to spend a hundred or two. Any ideas? :confused2:

Abu Garcia 'Green Cat' from CC, or the Abu Garcia 'Pro Rocket'. BOTH GREAT reels! Buy either one. I guarantee you that if you don't like them, I'LL BUY IT FROM YOU!

Johnny, I have had great sucess with my ABU 6500 (with bait clickers) along with bass pro shop's 7'0" CAT MAX rods and 65lbs spider wire. no complaints here.

I love my 6500's both are sweden made. I am not sure your going to be able to find something that will hold 65# mono from abu garcia. Might look into the Penn line of series.

Now if you are going to use a super line then I would just look for a 6500 or 7000 used in good condition made in sweden

I use the basic 6500C3 but my favorite Abu is the 7000iHSN

Personally I dont care where they came from because Ive never had one break.

The 6500 Abu is an awesome reel, but I would question line capacity with 60 pound test-assuming you mean mono-the 7000 Pro Rocket, even tho it's made or assembled in China, is a real workhorse and has proven to me to be every bit as reliable as their Swedish made counterparts and has the capacity for larger lines. Both are equipped with clickers. Stay safe and stick a pig!!!

I think if you're going to be using 60# mono then the Abu Big game 10000 would be a good choice.

Used 7000's are cheap right now, at least compared to the price of new ones.

    9000 or 10000 for sure.I would think about 30 or 40lb test though.Plenty big enough.And you could get a bunch on a 10000.

Well for that amount of spendmoney id go with a nice 5000 from sweden if ya could find one, best place would be a local pawn shop and try to purchase one. They are solid good allaround reels that do well for cattin and you can put up to 100 lbs line on them as well.
