You have to fish the Mon for big flatheads , there just aren`t many flatheads in the yough.

The farthest ive cought any Flats in the Yough is in Little Boston witch is about 1 mile from the Mon... just easier to hit the Mon and better chances on Hawgs

for channels from smithton down to sutersville is good. west newton stocks some big channels and some blues, i have fished the yough my whole life and caught one 17 inch flathead in a feeder creek between west newton and sutersville. just aren't in there yet.

Went out last night near Broadford, only 2 small channels. Both on Chicken livers. Just not what it used to be.

I`m not far from where the yough meets the Mon and have fished the Yough all my life. If you need Flathead bait hit the Yough you`ll have plenty in no time.

Went out on the Yough last night. Got 1 channel and caught some bait for the Mon. Mostly suckers and Rock Bass. I was right in Connellsville, didn't stay too long lots of rafters, tubers and canoes just about anything that would float there were people on.

There are some guys I work with who do the float trips on the yough a couple of times a year.
