Anyone fishing yough lake with any success? I havent done so well the last couple times out.
Haven't fished it this year. I have only ever fished it for walleye and pike. Do you catfish there? I always wanted to try catfishing there.
Yes, my grandfather and father have cought some nice channel cats there while walleye fishing, but ive never had much luck.:confused2:
I was there about a month ago fishing for walleye and bass and caught a small channel on a gulp alive minnow but never fished at night for them.
Were you guys up in Maryland in the shallows or in deeper water?
Good thread. The pa fish commission has been stocking channels in there for years. There ought to be some huge channels but as far as flatheads I don't know but it would be a perfect place fpr them. Lots of baitfish, Deep and shallow structure and fairly consistent water temps. Anyone hear of any Flats in there?
Never heard of any flats in there. I usually fish around jockey hollow.
There has to be some big channels hanging around those bridge pillars.
Love the Yough Dam. Smallmouth, Walleye ,Pike, Huge Trout and I'm told big Channels but I never caught any or any flats.
Yea but you better find a way to save some of my lures from them mother lovin' pike!
I recently fish fish yough lake, I cought two channel cats and a perch, my uncle cought three channel cats, and my cousin cought one channel cat. We use night crawlers and the catfish went crazy for them.
Thanks for the report.
Not much happening lately except all the water is disappearing. It won't be long though
I have caught Channels in the Yough Dam. Many by accident on jigging spoons. I have targeted them thought with chubs and chicken livers. We have got some real nice channels I don't think there is any flats in there though, It would be an excellent lake for flatheads.
