    Hunting season is coming up fast. You all use good judgement and stay safe. If you have to ask if it is safe or not, then it probably isn't.

    Well it did say gunshotwound. Man that looks like it hurts. Always let someone know where your hunting and when you plan on being home. Stay safe out there.

    Great tip Brian. I always mark my spots on an area map and leave it with the wife. I also mark my spot on another map and leave it under the windshield of my truck where I park.

    I hunt on private property so only a couple of us on 600 acres. Makes it a little safer.

    One of my fathers friends Did that to himself when he was moving into his new house, Cleaning his gun boom blew his leg almost all the way off. So after that i make sure i hunt safely and i won't hunt with anyone that doesn't

    There is a song out there called "Thirty Point Buck". It's a pretty funny song, but at the very end is a sobering thought;

    "Treat every hunter as if he were loaded"

    Kinda funny until you think about it, and then it is sadly true.

    That's going to leave a mark for sure!!!!!!!!

    Some of you stated you hunt private land and feel safe!!
    Bullsh!t, I own 300 acers and it may as well be public!!! Now days when people come to a fence they either cut it or jump it. There is no respect or safe place!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I thought about mentioning those type of people. Unfortunately they are most likely to be the ones that don't make sure of their targets and what is behind it either.

    I hunt public and private land. Im lucky enough to live around a lot of national Forrest but either way I hike a long way to get to most of my stands and its rare when I see another hunter. If my only option was to hunt around a bunch of people I would be like Jim and would quit gun hunting. I've already quit the permit draw hunts on Fort Chaffee even though its loaded with deer. To many City idiots out there for me that will shoot at anything that moves in the brush.

    That is horrific, couldn't imagine the pain that person is in. Hunting has become a dangerous sport.

    Isnt that the same picture from when the guy was attacked by a polar bear? And the wound was from where the bear was eating?
