I needed something to put me over the edge and shell out $40 for tonight's WWE Royal Rumble. I figured I could provide match results directly after the finish and a brief summary of each match and backstage segment as well.

So.... I'll be posting the results after each match! The show start @ 8PM!

Match #1: Ric Flair vs MVP

Special Stipulation: If Flair looses, he must retire

Pretty boring match. Flair gets the victory via the figure 4 leglock. Wooooo!!!!

    Match Rating (1-4) 1

    * Note: I've heard that WWE wanted to try and lure Sting away from TNA for 1 match: a Wrestlemania match vs Flair (at Flair's request) If this plays out, it's suspected that it would eb Flair's last match. Long live the 4 Horsemen!

Match #2: Chris Jericho vs JBL

    Special Stipulation: none

JBL wins by DQ, after Jericho nails him w/ a chair.

    Match Rating (1-4) 2.5

*Note: Jericho bladed (cut himself) during the match. I think he went a little too deep, becasue there was blood everywhere! (Then again it's really easy to bleed from your head, so maybe it wasn't as deep as it looked.)

Mathc #3: Edge vs Rey Mysterio Jr

Special Stipulation: For Edge's WWE World Championship

This was a good match between two guys who can go all out. Edge wins w/ a spear.

    Match Rating (1-4) 3

*Note: Rey had the match won, but Vickie Guerearo put herself in the way of Edge and Rey gave her the 619 instead of Edge.

    Promo:

The WWE hired some scrub interviewer that used to work for them during teh XFL days. He has sucked all night, but he was talking about the other championship match (Orton vs Hardy) and introduced Jeff Hardy as..... Jeff H-A-R-B-Y. It was horrible! All the fans started laughing. You could tell that the WWE took the laughing out of the broadcast right after it happened. Thank God for that 2-3 second delay. Simply amazing, the Royal Rumble is one of the 3 biggest PPV's of the year and they have someone like this do the promos. :confused2::angry:

Match #4: Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton

Special Stipulation: For Orton's WWE Championship

Randy Orton won in a pretty non-eventual match

    Match Rating (1-4) 2

I'll be working on the Royal Rumble post for a while.

Here is my predection: HHH will win. We'll see if I'm right. I think they'll set up a HHH vs Orton match at WM24.

My Overall Rating Of The Event: (1-4) 2 at best.

Dang... $40, that 4 BOC Stars, or 1/2 of a decent Abu Reel. What a waste.

The rumble was kinda shocker, I thought Cena was on the injury list and didn't expect him back. I've kinda got that feeling Orton will get his butt whooped at wrestlemania. But was glad to see Vickie get the 619, that ws some funny stuff.

Wrestling just isn't what it used to be. John Cena is really nothing special and I am bored to death that he gets pushed down our throats every week.

I miss the era from about 10 years ago when Stone Cold and The Rock would battle it out on the mic as well as in the ring. I was entertained every time. But not today.
