Had the opportunity to fish a pond that had never been fished before.. Ill tell you, I hadn't seen such frisky channel cats.. All eater sized, healthy as can be.. You could easily tell none of them hada clue what was happening.. All caught on just night crawlers with a slip sinker rig.. Fun experience nevertheless..

Welcome aboard. There's such a pond that I've been invited to fish, but haven't yet. Maybe now I will. It's supposedly stocked with albinos.

Definitely sounds like a great time...used to have a pond here like that...never fished the pond for cats but caught a 5lber on a bobber and worm once then decided to start fishing for them...could only catch one per day though for some reason...all over 5+...I think the fish I caught would go back and tell his brothers and sisters once I released him...should have hit him over the head w/ a stick to give him amnesia I guess  ...welcome to the brotherhood

I have just decided to get back into catfishing again after my semi recent move to florida. After moving here and realizing there is small ponds everywhere I started bass fishing because it was cheap and easy and have had great luck with it. I am starting to think the cats here are unmolested in the ponds just because I never see anyone fishing them at all. Cats still seem to have trash fish status down here for some reason. I can't wait until I get some decent time off.
