Would they be up in a river of the lake?

I have a question about flathead fishing. Would they be up in the river of my local lake (Hartwell) this time of year, or would they have mover down stream? There are some nice log jams about 20 ft deep and all kinds of deep holes and structure. I wanted to go try it, but i'm hooked on catching fish, so I would rather not fish if it wouldn't be holding fish. So what do you guys think, should I try it or move to deeper water? The water temp is about 60-70 degrees. The water has a minute current.

I need all the help I can get! Thanks!

they could still be there. That is still some pretty warm water. My suggestion is go try! the most rewarding fish to catch are the ones that nobody else thought were there!

I will be willing to bet that there are plenty of flatheads that stay in that water if it's 20' deep all year.

Good! I definitely think they would be up in the river. It looks real fishy.
