It was caught by a member on the BOC. Do a search and he has more pictures of it on here. And more info on it also.
It was a hog, But he was a good guy and did not kill it to find out what it did weight.
Yep, what Pete said......
Radish is my hero, and becoming an icon of catfishing lore I see. :cool2:

i never get tired of this fish. Thanks for revisiting
Radish has class......
I have not seen him one time defend or argue about the authenticity of his fish . He said his story and that's that....I love it !!!
I haven't seen him in awhile either...I hope all is well.
Radish is our BOC Hero. Send him a PM and he will get back to you.
he just replied to the thread on f&s (link on post 1) defending the catch is real. so he's still lurking the www. :smile2:

I still got goosey's looking at that monster and my hats off to Radish still that is one big bad fish WOOO!
I was so impressed with that catfish, I have that photo set as my desktop. It is pure inspire-ation to look at. I have recounted the tail [sic] many times to people who have come over and saw it on the computer screen. I have never met Radish, but I aspire to be half the catfisherman and sportsman that he has demonstrated himself to be. Thanks for the post and thanks for Radish being such a fine example. Ronnie
Iam going to try my best this winter to get one that big or bigger........
If I caught caught that fish and then died the next day my life would be complete!
Radish is still a legend in his own time! I've said it before, but way to to!
It takes one hell of man to be able to let that fish go and be even a tenth as humble as Radish is about the whole event! I venture a guess most of us on here would really struggle with that kind of decision. WAY TO GO RADISH! You and that fish will be talked about for a long time!!
The story lives! That is one heck of a fish, and I credit the guy for standing by his convictions to let it go.
However, I will not say it was surely a new world record. Only way you'd get me to say that is if it had been weighed. Sorry, but calling it something you can't be sure of is called speculating.
Pruitt is still the world record holder.
Also guys the fish was caught on a 7/0 hook. so goes to show you do not have to be using a 10/0 or 12/0 to hang a fish of the lifetime.
That fish is just amazing!
