How many games do you think the World Series will go.4,5,6,or7 games
i think i need a tranquilizer dart to settle my nerves after watching this 7 game series between st. louis and new york .
what a great game 7 !!!! jeff suppan went 8 innings !!!!!!
dont see that too much.
Interesting situation, one team won their league quickly and will be rested more, the other comes off a hard fought playoff of 7 games. St. Louis may be tired and is beat up a bit. Minn. may have lost sharpness in the meantime. Hopefully, St. Louis will get down to business and Edmonds/Pujols/Carpenter, and company will win this thing. I'm tired of the American League winning. Thank goodness, though, its not the White Socks.
What a great game!!!
My team pulled her out! What a motivation builder! Man, 9th inning - bases loaded with the winning runner and a great hitter on the plate. Talk about a nail biter!! And what about that last pitch.......WOW!
Too all of you cub fans...................
Heck of a game too bad for my MET'S oh well i will have to pull for my grandpa's tigers now.......in 4
Detroit in 5 games
We limped in to the playoffs, took care of the Padres, then killed the best of the NL in 7 thrilling games.
Rolen, Puhols, Eckstein, even Carpenter weren't stellar, so it was left to the little guys like rookie Chris Duncan, Molina, Wilson, Taguchi, Spezio, Miles and me (I mean Suppan).
Therefore, the Cards will win the rematch of the 1968 WS and we will win it in six.
Detroit Tigers in six games (only because strange things always happen in sports). Starting pitching, bullpen, lineup way too strong for the Cardinals. Tigers are going to be bringing it this Series with people that can actually pitch to Albert Pujols instead of around him all the time. Hitting lineup way stronger than the Mets...These guys are the same team that beat the vaunted Yankees. Would be a major upset IMO...
Vic, thats how I think it's going to go down to. I just wonder how Detroit will play after sitting around watching the NLCS all week.
major upset? Wouldn't that be in three games. I'm picking the Cards in seven.
Tigers in six.
I'm just wondering if it is still true, that the team in the WS with the most former Cubs on it will not win.
Hope the Tigers take it in 5 or less! GO TIGERS!!!!
the world series...ah yes..next stop in the series: Martinsville Speedway:big_smile:
Cards in 5 games
As a lifelong Cards fan, I would love to see us win it. Unfortunately, the Tigers are loaded this year. I think the Tigers will win games big and the Cards will win games by a run or 2. Therefore, I am picking the Tigers in 6 games. OR......the Cards may fight tooth and nail and somehow pull it out in 7.
IM pulling for a huge upset St.Louis in 4
Tigs in 5!!
4 if we could get Kirt Gibson to bat D.H. do you remember him limping to the plate in 84 to hit one out? smokey
who let the cards out??????/
who indeed LOL
I don't know but they showed out tonight!!:cool2:
I'm not making any predictions, but I would sure like to see the Cards do it and I don't care how many games; although 4 would be nice!
I think it's funny that certain announcers were saying Detroit in "3"! LOL
Shawn I mean Jeff you'd better pitch well! :tounge_out:
