Drc3 invited me to a days catfishing on Watts Bar Lake. Blue cats were on the menu for the day, and it was hot one out there. Daniel put us on a good spot where we marked several nice fish on the graph, then we anchored down and put some fresh cut skipjacks out on our lines. It didnt take long when I reeled in my 1st blue cat ever, a small 2 pounder that went for the big chunk of bait and managed to get hooked in the process. About 20 minutes later the same pole bent over and after a few minutes what was a night fight my PB was in the net and in the boat. The blue cat weighed out at 28.8 pounds. Daniel got a couple of good hits also but just couldnt get them to take the bait. So within that short time I not only got my 1st blue cat but also got my personal best catfish. Hats off to Daniel Cox for a good day at the lake.
