I got out last night with a friend of mine and man what a night. I spent a lot of time this winter freezing my a$$ off looking for new holes in the Rappahannock river. It payed off.

We caught some Hickory shad at dusk and made a long ride down river and setup. We had agreed to fish until 10:00 pm. That turned into 2:00 am because the fish did not stop until the tide did. We both ended up with our new PB. Best night I have ever had. Back to back citations (over 30lbs. in VA) and that was just the beginning.

    Fish total = 40lbs, 31lbs, 25lbs, 23.5lbs, 18lbs, 14lbs, 12lbs, 8lbs, and 4 eaters in the 5-7lb range. Also caught a 9.5lb Striper.

The first picture is the 31lber and the second is the 40lber.

I went again today and for a couple of hours and did not do much. Nothing worth a picture anyway. What a difference two days make.
