I was wondering about the spawn and I figure that lakes and rivers would warm up at different rates. I would guess that lakes would warm up slower so the spawn would start quicker and end quicker in a lake than a river. Any input on what you guys think?

well, not 100 percent sure, but more like 90 pct on this one. I know some ppl who go grabbing. They grab in creeks in the late spring/ early summer. ( may, june, july) and in lakes its June, July, Aug. ) so im going to say that river fish go on rocks before lake fish do. but ill try to find some facts to back this up for you
