Ok people, i owe everyone an apology. I've been catfishing for more than a couple of years and reading the post on this form for a while now and i came to the conclusion that everyone was streaching the truth just a little when they were posting on how big their catfish were. I just KNEW that catfish didn't grow more than 11 1/2 inches in length because that was the only size i have ever caught. I did manage to catch a 11 3/4 monster one time but i just thought my ruler was defective. What changed my mind was about 2 weeks ago i spent the weekend on Martin Creek Lake at the state park and ran about 11 jugs off shore. I had intended to use nothing but live bream for bait but had to settle for some dead bream and chicken gizzards. Before i got ran off the lake due to the wind i had caught 22 blue cats that went from 2 to 9 1/2 lbs. I only run 2 hooks per jug and most of the time there were 2 fish on each jug. Even the game warden was impressed when i showed him my catch. Now i know that there really are catfish out there more than 11 1/2 inches. Sorry about doubting everyone.
