Wife gives the go ahead

    well fella's the wife finally gives in to me getting a boat and i would like for u illinois brothers to help me look i am looking for a 16-18 ft river/big lake boat with a 40 or 50 hp on back thanks in advance i am willing to spend 3 k

    Permission from the wife! LOL! Put your pants on and spend 10K. LOL! Good luck with your search. Cruise around lookin in yards and driveways where the boat hasn't moved in a while. Knock on the door and make an offer. You may find a wife that wants the old man to get rid of it.

    I agree w/George. you can get a good boat cheaper that way, and you can modify it to what you want, w/o breakin your pocket book. promise. Good luck and enjoy.

    im about two hours north of you. so i keep my eye open for yeah.

    hey im looking for a about 16' flat bottom nothing special. something around 25 hp tiller motor. or no motor will work too.

    you could probably find a real nice used rig for that price... I'd watch all the classifieds within a reasonable driving distance. Pretty soon, guys will start selling off their old boats to buy new ones.

    Get a good boat like a Smoker Craft, Lund, Alumacraft, etc and it will last a long time.
