Weather looks good! It's ON
Caught 10 blues and 3 channels yesterday between 4pm and 8pm in my area and YES I'm going after them again this evening.Good luck to all, looks like a great night, might hook into one of those biggens tonight, keep your fingers crossed.
Hey Jimmy what parts you from.
I am heading out to a local lake tomorrow evening in the kayak..:big_smile: The big "O" is still pretty muddy so I can wait for better water. Now all I have to do is get some chicken livers and prep them out on the kitchen table...should make the wife happy.:roll_eyes:
Just north of Louisville in Oldham Co.
Were they any size?
Blues in the 10 to 15lbs range, channels 8 to 12.Have'nt caught anything over 20lbs since early May.
Sounds like you had alot of fun:wink:
seems like either the males (blues) are biting real good .. or some of the blues are coming off bed and are hungry... the two that i had hit yesterday took the poles down pretty fast.. not a total slam bam.... only caught 1 of them as the other fish got into some big rock and couldnt get it out.
They were hitting hard, bout lost one of my Abu 6000 .Thank God for my Bluecat like quickness.
where are you guys fishing????
I fish around Owensboro.:big_smile::big_smile::big_smile:
Aaron, did you get a new boat? Glad to hear things have picked up. I've only been out for cats once this summer, but when the stripes quit bitin I'll be back after them. Findin any bait?
I boated 25 over the weekend and they were slamming the bait. I think they are coming off the beds and are hungry. they were pretty beat up and I noticed that their bellies were slim as opposed to the fish that I caught a couple weeks back. Those fish looked like they had swallowed balloons!!
hey KYfarmer where are the stripes biting at???!!!
man i love it when they bite like that! They pretty much hook themselves and you just hold on for the ride:wink:
Been catching them at Cannelton on Carolina rigged jerk baits, and shad fillets. The big ones are closest to the red line so be careful. I've heard they are killing them on the Green river also below the dam at Rumsy.
Oh yea, watch out for flying carp, made the mistake of following my buddy up to the dam and ended up with two in the boat. What a mess.
Hey Marty, you need to take me sometime,or show me how,me never been stripper:smile2: fishing before.I mean striper:wink:
:roll_eyes:Cost about the same LOL!
