So who likes the state turning everything into these little pretty parks, with playground equipment, golf course lawns, paved roads to everything, etc., etc. or would you rather see more money invested in the lake itself instead of them just making everything pretty?

I can say when taking the younger kids out the playground stuff is kinda nice, yet at the same time the kids would be over learning fishing more if it wasn't there. I just cannot get used to the idea of fishing in a manicured park where everything is all just so. I would rather see overgrown weeds, dirt roads, and a rougher area altogether and the money saved put into the lake and fish themselves. And it might keep out some of the riff-raff,like eco-hikers, joggers, dog walkers, and other undesirables, lol

I'd rather see them spend a few bucks on some playground equipment that gets people to take their kids to the park instead of them sitting at home playing zbox wii or what ever. Kids have zero clue how to relate to each other because they don't get much practice. Summit Lake just got a new platground. It would have been nice to get showers up there but that won't teach kids how to get along. But they'd smell nice.

The layout of a park doesn't really matter , as long as there are good quality fish to be caught. However , there is one park I avoid like the plague due to several nearby high schools having trackmeets and marathons. It is annoying to fish for an audience. I used to go at night , until someone broke into my car and took my rods. Turns out it was the owner of a laundromat , I saw the tips sticking from beneath some floormats he used to hide them. That bastard ran inside and locked the door when he saw me coming!! I just wanted my s#!t back!! There are ups and downs to the situation , but people in general can drive you up a wall at times.

Why in the world would you not want the state to provide a nice place for the kid's and family to enjoy? And i doubt if that park was not there neither would the kid's be.As far as you wanting the money spent else where like for lake manegment it won't happen!! That money is allocated from the state to go to the city's for beautfcation progam's of city park's , If that money is not spent on what it was meant for the state does not give it back to the park's department next year.

When it comes to laws and public works parents get what parents want, parents want swings and pretty parks so everyone else gets pretty parks.

I'd rather see the parks rough and not all prettied up because it is a joke, people actually call amping in these places roughing it andjust don't have a clue as to the real world. And it is not only in the cities, it is around state recreation areas that ruin the lakes they surround everywhere around here. the state will purchase a decent lake and the ground around it,then make it into a "pretty park" putting in electrical service for those roughing it, and all the other trappings, pretty much overwheming the areas rescources. fogging the skeeters so folks won't have to deal with them, roughing it? hell my front yard is rougher than most of these state parks I guess I'm just astonded at the amount of manpower and money spent on this crap while the state hollars about being broke.

take your parks to the city away from our fishing holes !!! we have enough dingle berries to worry about with the jerks who fish and throw there garbage and fouled fishing line down and trashing out fishing grounds now you ad a park and more dingle berries who don't know how important the natural resources are and have no respect for the fisherman. a few example kids that get bored with the park and migrate down to the fishing hole only to throw rocks and sticks and trash in the water rite next to where i am fishing ??? get the hell out here !!! and when i mention to ma n pa about there outa control monkey the reply so what .......... sooo no respect more jackasses and more garbage sure lets build parks every where !! after all its a public park not a fishing hole any more.. sad sad sad

could take that money and stock more fish , build boat ramps , clean up trash , hire police to shoot litter bugs LOL atleast to stop them my god how hard is it to sit in one spot and give a million dollars with of litter bug fines ??? ah our govenment can't manage to plug a oil leak !!!! i i am now used to the blind leading the blind and fealing helpless to stupid government run programs . gl and this is just my rite to FREE SPEECH and my theory on it
