I'm thinking about going tomorrow at the Uffington river access. I go cat fishing a lot, so if you want to hang out, let me know!

It's hard to find people to go cat fishing around here.

I live within an hour of Morgantown and only fished it twice. Anyone know any good spots or places to camp between Morgantown and Fairmont?

I fish mostally at a buddy of mines property. Right across from the post office in maidsville. Nice set up there. Benches to sit on, rod holders, dusk to dawn lights. Ya can drive right down to the river. We need to hook uo some time and do some fishin!

    Awesome.

If you guys are fishing tomorrow, send me a PM or something. I hate to put my cell number on here for fear of someone grabbing it off of google or something.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow (finally); might be a good night for cats!

I would go under the bridge at the Wharf district, maybe off the rail-trail across from where Oliverio's is?

If I were fishing in Morgantown tonite (and I just might!), that's where I would go.

I fish the Mon some. Had much more luck over the years in the Mon than in Cheat lake.

Below Star City, on the outside of the next river bend is a very good place. When my son was little I could take him down there and anchor the boat about mid way in the river. We could always catch 5 or 6 nice cats on cut bait or night crawlers in less than an hour.

Haven't been there in a couple of years but my guess it is still good.

The best place I have found for catfish is the down stream side of barge moorings. Those big round structures long the river bank.
