Hey folks, Where's the talk about White River here? I remember fishing it when I was 8 years old... me and Dad took a guide out and slayed the rainbows... Dad caught a 9 pound rainbow on corn kernels and I have it on my wall today! But I wonder - 34 years later (lol) What is the catfishing Like in that river? Flatheads? Blues? DP

I grew up around Des Arc and the lower portion of the river from Batesville down has some nice fish in it. There use to be tons of riverrats that lived on houseboats. My momma was born on one actually between DeValls Bluff and Clarendon. there are a gazillion oxbow lakes coming off of it that also hold good fish.
