Does anyone know of any good places to catch flattys near noblesville on the white?
My brother and sister inlaw live within about a mile of the white there- I ain't fished it yet so I don't know right now, but I will before the season's up. They live near that bait house that rents the canoes can't think of the name of it.
Thanks let I have heard behind connor prairer is the best for flattys. Just thought someone would know.
During the 1999 fish kill I was working for the state and escorted the contractors around in a boat to clean up the mess. We pulled a few flatheads out of the Noblesville stretch in the 20# range. There are many good looking areas. Take a few trips and scout it out, you'll find em.
I've never fished that stretch for flatheads...but I have canoed it and done real well for smallmouth. There are a lot of promising looking catfishing spots up that way, not too sure about shore access so your best bet would be to get a canoe and go down the river and just pull it up to the shore at a good looking spot.
dont know that strecth but welcome to the board jeremy
I love catfishing for those big ones but have alot of trouble finding anything over 5 ot 6 pounds. I normally fish on the white river just north of noblesville at dam in riverwood. Caught a 20 and 40 pounder last year no luck at all this year.
Ya what he said!
I slay the flatties between noblesville and 146th st.lots of deep tree filled holes 2 wknd ago I had 2 limb lines broken with live gills on them an got 6 blues 2 channels a n2 5-6 lb flatties but that was my first overnight float of the year.Lat year I killed them every trip with many in the 15-25lb range and a few I never saw.
