I was just curious how many members target the majority of their Flatties on the White River?

I do because its Local and I dont have a boat..

Who else fishes this as their main water?

My wife & I love the White River. Here in Hamilton County & also down southwest of here. You can find almost anything in that river. Fish, bodies:crazy:, cars, Harley Davidsons:crazy:, tires & more fish

I practically lived on the mighty White when I was younger and it has been my main body of water for 20+ years. I primarily fish the stretches way down south past where the forks join. I have caught tons of fish there but I never really fish for big flatheads since good bait is time consuming to obtain(when your married lol). My grandpa and local townfolk have caught several 30-40 pounders. My main baits when trotlining/bank poles/limb lines are crawfish and chubs/shiners from seining. I use all the other concoctions too when bank fishing. There are a lot of big blues and channels in this area along with perch, carp, sturgeon and those pesky gars.

I can honestly say I have only caught two flatties out of the waverly area.. But I have caught a boat load of channels..

Nothing like setting in a 10ft jon boat on the white river, fishing 3 inches of water on a sand bar slaying channels after the flattie biat had come and gone..

And watching shooting stars with a 1 mile trail behind it
