Was going to head to the East Fork next week. First river outing of 2018 after surviving cabin fever .... and it looks like the river is going to peak the day I arrive .... completely blown out. :unhappy::cry:

I might try some tributaries ... maybe they are trying to get out of the flood and seeking some shelter in some streams .... going to have to attack from the bank as all the boat ramps are under water.

Usually flooding is good for filling up holes with catfish. Not so sure during early spring, though.

If the water is over the high bank I fish on I'm going to a pond or lake. Normally in the spring it's hit and miss with the flooding but I don't quite think it's spring yet untill I don't have to wear a jacket. After Easter though it's on like Donkey Kong rain or shine.

No catfish on the White River today still a little flooded here in Columbus. Used night crawlers and cut shad for bait. Haven't had any luck on the creek for chubs or retention ponds for bluegills.
I did catch a few keeper large mouth bass caught of course on my bait pole (4'6" ultra light action ugly stik) on red worm so the peeling drag and feeling the pole bend was fun.

Looks like some good days coming and maybe we will all get to have some fun soon. Temps in the 60s with hopefully some sun and the water temps will jump up quick.

    tight lines

With this wind burn on my face I'm warmed up and ready for it. Another high 70's here for tomorrow so I can work on my farmer tan.

Water really dropped, but looks like it's on the way back up.

Flathead fishing with a live bluegill. Then this happened. I didn’t have a scale ready or the camera or the net!

We don’t even have much skipjack in these waters, but the blues still love them.
