got to match the rod to the reel..... your level line reel is a "casting" and thats the one you need to get..... Spinning ..Pole... is for a spinning reel...

Ok, just making sure, wasn't sure due to the reel having a rod clamp instead of the slide in and tighten style type of thing

    I'll be getting a 10' Berkley Glowstik:wink:

    Thanks

That is how I would do it . I have seen some funny set ups though ... Like a 404 black taped to a fly rod and used for catfishing with a bobber . lol

It doesn't matter to the fish,, but, for myself, on casting rigs,, I like a trigger for some reason,, on spinning rigs,, the reel itself seems to act as a trigger.. but, the seat on the rod does not have a trigger,, on the spinners..

    It's probably kinda personal preference..

Reason I ask is because I saw a casting rod that had no trigger, which I found rather strange and led me to ask

    Thanks:wink:

I have casting rods from 7 fet up to 12 feet, none of them have a trigger, I dont think I have ever used a casting rod with a trigger.
