I am in the market for a new finder. It will be used for catfishing a small to medium river in Ohio. I have a 16' starcraft/350 chevy berkeley jet drive. Gps migt be handy too. What do you guys suggest?

If you can afford it, the Lowrance 522C would be a good unit to start with. Going for around $499 now at Cabelas.

The hunninbird matrix 12 is nice for around $250 with gps, or the eagle cuda 250 s map also around $250. Personally used the matrix 12 t works great. My uncle has the eagle, and he hasn't had a problem with it either. The Gps ismadeinto the egle soyou don't have to mount sepratly, and that in my opinion is the only downfall to the matrix I've found.
