which type of rods do you use most often for catfishing
(spin-casting,spinning,baitcasting) and with what type of bait(s)?

I use the basic spinning reel on a 7'MH cat rod method. I use anything I can catch for bait but so far gills have done real well. This year I'm using shad/herring as much as I can.

I have one i favor most....which is the most expensive one i have, maybe thats why i only have 1, but its a baitcaster with a 6' berkley big game. As for my other three they are just Shakespear spinning reel combos you can get at wally world....20$ a pop and they can handle a big catch, i think they are 6 1/2'. Nice and think though with sensitve tips...As far as baits, cut herring, jumbo minows, berkley dough bait (blood), chiken livers, and one i favor most when i can catch em breams and shad cut or live.

I have got 6 baitcasters and 2 spinning rods. The spinning rods are for my fiance, but after actually using them I'd consider getting more. They're just some old cheap reels and some Eagle Claw rods, but I know that spinning reels/rods would work just fine if you step the quality up just a notch.

I use baitcasting rods and reels for cat and bass fishing and spinning gear for bream fishing.

Catfish safari rod with a abu, penn or okuma depending on how where and when I am fishing. I have some graphite rods that I use also.
