Just the way I was brought up. Like saying "Yes Sir, No Sir, Yes Ma'am, No Ma'am, Please & Thank you."

I'll take any. Just as long as it fits that category.

I myself use the phrase "Merry Christmas". That is what comes naturally to me, since I've said that all of my life. I suppose I don't really care which one of those two greetings people use when speaking to me. If they care enough to wish me "Happy Holidays" (which I would like to have) OR "Merry Christmas" (which I plan on having also), I'll take either one and say thanks... and the same to you! :smile2:

I like Merry Christmas, as I have been raised a Christian. But if that is not your belief and would rather say Happy Holidays, then that is fine by me, I just appreciate you hoping I have a good holiday season and will wish the same on you no matter what you believe.

Always been Merry Christmas and a sober New Year. For those that don't drink it has always been Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
    Why change now?

I prefer someone sayh "hiya, Lawrence" or even "god, your ugly". Failing that, they can use the other greetings and I'll be okay with it.

What I prefer is not being asked to make a distinction or to give some sort of value to one response over another.

I miss the days where Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings, Happy Holidays, Happy *your religeous holiday here*, and Joyous Noel all meant one thing:

I wish you health, happiness, and success, regardless.

Tell me- Do you think Jesus cares what way you celebrate His message or do you really believe God to be so vain that the message of the life of Christ is outweighed by silly words meant to denote individual piety?

    Think about that.

    Oh... and Merry Chrsitmas! :tounge_out:

I've never been good with words. Although I try, I could care less for P.C. And that is on anything.

    Anyway.
I'll go with CatGirl on this one.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

I know that Jesus is the reason for the season. Still though, I'll give anybody the benefit of the doubt. Whatever greeting, as long as it's given in good spirit. Merry Christmas everyone!

Because I work with people from many different backgrouds, be it religious, ethnic, or cultural I use "Happy Holidays". That is not being PC it is being practical.
