Which bait tank?

    i'm looking at getting a bait tank from cabelas but i cant decide from there 30 gal.or the keepalive 30gal.it will be mostly for shad and gills,they have two completly diffrent types of pumps.

    If you really intend to keep shad alive for very long (more than a few hours at a time), you need a good tank, better than what Cabelas is selling. Neither of the tanks you've listed is suitable for holding shad - you need a filtration system, not just a pump to swirl the water around and put air bubbles in the tank.

    Consider Grayline, Blue Water or Creek Bank - they're costly but they do the job.
