Just wondering if anyone has had any luck catching any baitfish with a castnet lately? I haven't had much luck with mine and we are primarily having to stick to frozen bait and thats about all gone. Need to reload the freezer!:tounge_out:

If you go to the osbourne landing early in the morning or in the evening toss the net to the left side of the pier. Its the side with the light. You'll be surprised at what you might catch. I was fishing with 4-5 inch live white perch till the GW told us to leave. Funny thing the guy with the castnet was tossing all the good cutters back.:eek:oooh:

Your best luck with a cast net will be earily morning and late evening,I have to work alot harder once the sun comes up.If you have a boat try on flats in three to eight foot of water.
