Where you guys finding shad at?

    I am having trouble finding shad right now.Where do I look at when the water is low like this?

    Creeks and rocky areas with moving water.

    Any place that you can find water coming into the river. Also look for shad in the shallows and on the drop offs by the bank. Behind barges, in little coves or creek mouths.

    Well thats always a good question..As a rule a thumb there not usually in the fast moving water and seem to prefer calm water, eddies,or small creek channels. Shad are kinda like catfish.. here today and gone tommorow. There constantly making moves in there environment but usually arnt far from where they were yesterday. Establishing that suttle patern is the key. As usual always always try to throw as big a net that you can throw good most of the time, it will pay off .:wink:
