I have seen a few posts refer to the 16 island area at santee. I have always called the navigational hazard to the east of channel marker 16 on lake Moultrie going toward Bonneau beach 16 island. The shallow sandbar area to the Northeast of there back toward the channel is what I have always called sunken island. Can anyone tell me if I am correct, or am I thinking of the wrong area? If so, what are these spots normally called & where is the 16 island that people are talking about?

Thanks & lets hope the lake levels stay up this summer

The other area you mentioned, in Lake Moultrie, is where I found this on the side scan. Not for sure what it is, but I think it may be the sinkhole that drained the lake so much during the drought.

Second pic is of the "doors" just a little north of CM# 6. Not the best of shots due to all the pwc wakes that day.
