the grocery store sells them, but i like the ones from the local bait shop. they seem to not fall off the hook as much and are tougher than the grocery stores

I get mine at the local grocery here. Maybe you could ask a local butcher if he can round some up for ya?

Every grocery store around here has em. Its gotta be Perdue or nothin. Old Frank's chickens have nice purple livers. Must be the chemicals. LOL!

I get mine at Wal Mart. They have better ones than the grocery stores here do.

I've been known to buy some at a grocery store when I wanted fresh livers, but for making cured livers, that's just too much to pay. I check out the 'freight damaged' stores, and the little markets that sell outdated, short-dated, or closeout foods and try to buy them by the case. The last I bought cost me $9.00 for a 40# case. Of course, they're frozen, and 40# of livers is a lot to have to cure at one time, but look at the savings.

Around here they seem to be seasonable. Everyone has them in the summer because of catfishing but other times of the year I can only find them at Wal Mart.

Where do you find Turkey liver? Do you know a butcher? I can't even find beef liver most of the time.

Thanks Sam That is a question I all wanted to ask but always forgot.:embarassed:
You saved me money and a shopping trip. I was going to go buy up all the chicken livers I could get and freeze them since they seem to disappear at the end of October around here.
