I want to get into them snagging this year for the fun of it. The few I've hooked fought like a freight train and were a blast to catch.

What kind of holes do these fish congregate in the most on places like the Osage below Bagnell and on the Missouri River.

    Anywhere there's slack water.

If you see one jump, point your boat in their general direction, drift into the spot, turn your motor to one side, then gun it! Make sure to hold your head down. They'll jump right in the boat with ya. I know...defeats the purpose of snagging, but it works.

The best place I've found for them is behind dykes. Not so much the ones that come straight out, but the ones that come out and then downstream a bit making a pool of stagnant water. Also in small tributaries, the Lamine and Wakenda are loaded with them.
