Hey everybody I really like to use bouncing betty sinkers for drift fishing but they are expensive. Does anybody know where to buy them in bulk or maybe make something similar? It is basically a black rubber ball with a eyelet at the top, it shouldnt be too hard to imitate.

The only bouncing betty's I had ever heard of were anti personnel mines which, when activated, bounced into the air about groin (waist) high before exploding. Sure thought those would be illegal for fishing. LOL

Yeah, I saw those Bouncing Betty sinkers at a big Mom and Pop bait shop this past spring. They were about $3 apiece, and they didn't sell them in bulk.

I found a photo of these sinkers after a little searching on the 'net. They can be ordered from a couple of places, but not in bulk. Or at least I didn't find anywhere.

I don't know a Bouncing Betty but I could introduce you to a Kissing Karen, a Pole-Dancing Penelope or a Massaging Mary.
I know a Fiona too but you'll have to work out what she does yourself:wink:

Jay, they are a lead-free, environmentally safe, politically correct sinker. Al Gore loves them.

I think those sinkers are rubber coated or coated with some of that stuff they used to make Superballs out off, maybe a material called Zectron? Supposedly they bounce of rocky bottoms. Maybe they're made for drifting. I really don't know.
